What Quilt Designer Is
Quilt Designer is a browser-based design tool for planning quilt layouts, choosing patterns and colors, and estimating fabric needs. It is a design aid, not a substitute for your own measurements or judgment when actually cutting fabric or sewing.
Free and Paid Features
Core design features are available free of charge. "Quilt Designer Pro" is a one-time purchase ($14.99 at time of writing) that unlocks additional patterns, fabric photo swatches, save/load designs, auto-fit sizing, the backing fabric calculator, and the cut list.
AI-generated room previews are offered separately, with a limited number of free generations included and additional credits available for purchase in bundles.
Prices and included features may change over time; the price and feature set in effect at the time of your purchase apply to that purchase.
Payments
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment card details ourselves — see our Privacy Policy for details.
Your Design Data
Saved designs are stored locally in your own browser, not on our servers. This means:
- Your designs are only available on the device and browser where you saved them.
- Clearing your browser data, switching browsers, or using a different device will not carry your saved designs over.
- We are not able to recover lost designs on your behalf, since we do not have a copy of them.
We recommend downloading a copy of any design you want to keep long-term.
AI-Generated Previews
Room previews are generated using a third-party AI image service. Generated images are approximate visualizations, not exact reproductions of your design, and should not be relied upon for precise color or pattern matching.
Acceptable Use
Please don't use Quilt Designer to:
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its underlying services
- Upload photos or content you don't have the right to use
- Resell or redistribute the app itself
No Warranty
Quilt Designer is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Digital Family Insights is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to fabric miscalculations, lost design data, or issues with AI-generated previews.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
